Next year is going to be a of mass of comic book adaptations into movies, from the DC comics Green lantern to the latest installment of X-Men, 2011 is going to be a summer of superheros. Many of these films have been whispered about in the Hollywood grapevine for years, and now they are about to rise from the cellular, their is always the fear that the finished outcome will disappoint. I suppose this is all part of the thrill, will it be so familiar that you gently drift into it, like you have been watching it forever, or will be as blunt and heavy as Thors hammer?

When the term ‘ghost’ gets a mention, I don’t know if I’m alone here but the words ‘Casper’ and ‘friendly’ seem to come to mind along with visions of Patrick Swayze in his hey day. At first mention,I just don’t associate ghosts the same way as I do other obviously spine-chilling suspects like zombies, vampires and aliens. Maybe it’s because they aren’t usually visually terrifying (obviously the pesky devils are invisible or transparent and so don’t have the demented ‘I’m gonna hurt you’ look down).
