I don’t think anyone expected a Devon Sawa horror movie to be so inventively thrilling or launch a franchise that is still slashing teens 10 years later. I also believe that, in some small way, “Final Destination” opened the door for “Saw” since it introduced the creative kill, one-upmanship genre that “Saw’s” exploited to the tune of $342 million.
