The Company Men Poster
The plot of The Company Men is a story of three men facing the brunt of corporate downsizing and its effect on their lives. Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones and Chris Cooper are employees of a fictional company called GTX in Boston. Following the recent economic crisis, the company decides to cut down on high-grossing employees in a attempt to replenish its plunging stocks and lure back stakeholders. The filming of the movie began in April, 2009, completing in the June of the same year. It is a surprise, why it was held from US release in 2010 because then it would have been eligible for award considerations.
The Company Men Wallpaper
The movie review of The Company Men shows that it stands on firm ground. Although the three leads have little interaction on the screen, they perform beautifully on their own. Something coming from the stable of Wells is expected to be phenomenal, especially because he gave us The West Wing and ER. Although some critics have been panning Wells for hurrying up the plot on the screen, the truth remains that Wells has created a movie which succeeds in conveying the agony of the recession. The piece, on a whole is thought provoking and leads the audience into serious introspection. There is no background music and instead of taking away value from the movie, it magnifies the graveness.
The Company Men is a must watch for those who prefer realistic cinema.
