Casey Abrams may shave his beard to raise IBD awareness!
Season 10 American Idol contestant “Casey Abrams” pledges to shave off his signature beard if 1,500 people join him on the cause at IBDIcons.com. He is requesting all Americans to cast their votes for the finalists taking part in the national diseases awareness campaign of IBD Icons. Casey himself has been fighting with a chronic Ulcerative Colitis that confronted by him about two years ago. Now he helped launch the famous IBD Icons in order to get all people familiar with the potential risk of inflammatory bower disease (IBD), at the same time he is aiming at to encourage all those people living with IBD, Crohn’s disease, and Ulcerative Colitis. Two of these medical terms Crohen’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis (UC) are having many similarities with respect to the symptoms that include diarrhea, throbbing abdominal pain, weight loss, and fatigue. Casey is trying to stand by those people who are persistently living with any of these pains and taking on all challenges of their life despite of their disease. According to a study around 1.4 million Americans are suffering from the IBD.
